We will carefully examine symptoms of children who have difficulty in explaining, and try to understand their condition correctly and explain it in an easy-to-understand manner. We also have outpatient pediatric specialist on Mondays and Tuesdays, so please check our TOP page or X. We also offer infant checkups and vaccines, so please feel free to contact us for more information.
Spot Vision Screener
We are proud to introduce the Spot Vision Screener by Welch Allen, one of the few in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
The Spot Vision Screener is a portable, easy-to-use device designed to detect potential vision problems in individuals from 6 months of age through adulthood. It helps screen for six major risk factors that may lead to amblyopia:
- Myopia (difficulty seeing objects in the distance)
- Farsightedness (inability to focus on objects in the distance or up close)
- Astigmatism (inability to focus in one place)
- Anisometropia (inability to focus in one place)
- Strabismus (misalignment of the eyes' line of sight)
- Pupillary irregularity (large difference in pupil diameter from left to right)
We offer this screening during routine infant health checkups, specifically at the 18-month checkup, and through insurance if there are related symptoms.
For parents who wish to have their child screened during earlier health visits (such as at 6–7 or 9–10 month checkups), the screening can be provided at your own expense (1,100 yen) as well.
Please feel free to consult us if you are interested.
